Unconstitutional: The War on Our Civil Liberties

I see the Patriot Act as a way for the government to spy on people and stay way more involved than need be. I do believe that the act was covered by saying it is necessary because of terrorism. it slightly tarnishes the freedoms that America has tried so hard to instill. It is an invasion of privacy and that is not what America is about. The act makes it a lot easier to arrest people just because they are immigrants and more recently it is trying to be imposed on to people who are not immigrants. In a certain way I'm sure some people have a superficial feeling of safety, but in reality and in my opinion it is just a show for a different purpose that benefits the government more. So in my opinion the act is completely unconstitutional.

government

From everything we have learned I now understand all of the pros and cons of our government. Pros mostly lie within having order and generally peace in the streets and in society. If we did not have a government, and our specific government for that matter, it would be anarchy everywhere and people may even be afraid to walk outside of their house. Having a government that not only is for the people, but knows how to balance and maintain power throughout is truly a privilege. The cons of our government is that they can make or break us depending on who we vote for. The power does rely with the people to vote, but we may vote for the wrong person. The system itself is corrupt and can be a huge lie to all the people. We know so little of what actually goes on.

Working in a group was very helpful. When we did not know what to do we could just ask a group member and they would be happy to help. Then when we knew how to do one thing and another did not we could help them out. The group were all able to handle their responsibilities and I think that made it run a lot more smoothly then other groups.

Obama

I honestly do not like a single presidential candidate in the running at the moment. I used to like Obama, but after this year me along with the majority do not like him for the lack of positive action he has taken for our government. Although he still can use the Bush excuse and say he is still trying to repair the damage that our economy and just nation in general had endured. I also dislike the other candidates because they are republican and that automatically means most of their beliefs are the opposite of mine. I do not like their motives or plans for the future. So if I were to pick the better of the two poisons it would have to be Obama. I do believe he will win it all as well. Most people still like him and they have kept their faith the last four years. He still is making promises and I believe now that he has been in office if he gets reelected he will feel as though he has the power to make rash decisions on his own. It is going to be his last four years ever so why not just do what he thinks is right. That's why people will vote for him because they know he is planning on doing big things this time around and I agree. The people that will not vote for him are the ones that have lost faith and decided that he is hopeless and will not take any action just as he has proved in his first term.

TILT BLOG (2 weeks)

I have learned many things about the candidates and how everything they do works. I understand how everything goes through a system of political officials who each have a part in designating specific plans and instruction. Each of the political officials has a team of advisors and people who work to help them win their position. Whether it is for reelection or for first time candidates. They all spend excessive amounts of money just to get their name and beliefs out to the public. Then they leave it all up to the people to decide if they are good enough to take the position to run office in whatever occupation they were running for. I feel as though this method of government and election is satisfactory because we do not have any other options, so technically it is the best one we have. My only objection is the lobbyists that are included in all elections. I found the lobbyists pay to have their candidate voted for. This to me should be illegal because people are buying votes. Rather than voting for the candidate they like the best they are picking a candidate based on the amount of money they can receive from said lobbyist. I have found that working with a group can be extremely beneficial. For example, if one member of the group cannot or does not know how to do something another member will help. Because by helping you that will help them. This is just a great circle because everyone helps everyone, and we all stay on task and get the assigned work done on time. The only bad thing about working in a group is if there is one person who does not work, however in our group that is not the case with anybody. Dividing and conquering is the best way to do this project and that is what groups do.

A+ Website

The website itself must initally be eye catching to draw someone in. If it can get the attention of the viewer half of the work is done. To have that it must be full of interesting and flashy content that would stand out to a viewer. But the quality of the work is also key to the website. The information put forth onto the website has to short but sweet. It should not drag on because then it will inevitably be boring, but rather should get directly to a point and be accurate. This will keep the viewer on your website and satisfied. A website should not only have information through text however, it should also appeal to the viewer through visual mechanics and other sorts of translations of information. Now, that you have the information and the attention grabbers you must make them all easily accessible. A website needs to be more of an easy way to get information in an efficient way. If the website is hard to navigate around then you are defeating the entire purpose. When the information comes to the viewer easily then they will want to stay on the website and look for more.
